Welcome! This blog aims to inspire, educate and get real about life as an entrepreneur. I'm on my 3rd venture and although I have an MBA and trained on software development,  most of my learning came from in-the-trenches doing. Funny how much of my business coaching is echoed in my mama-talk: it's about grit, focus, vision and relationships are everything.

Hi, I'm maryliz

It’s only in the high 60’s and already I’m pulling out the boots and getting my Ninja ready for soup making. When you’re busy, this tool is a game changer. It comes with a small cookbook and guide to make any soup. You throw in the ingredients and while you’re doing other things, it cooks to perfection. No standing over a stove hoping not to bubble up over the edge. I prefer this to to the Vitamix just because of the UX (that’s what software devs call “user experience”. Unlike the many women in my family and life, I am not an intuitive cook – I prefer explicit directions and once familiar with a recipe, I can definitely “tweak” but unlike tech products, I don’t know how to create rich cuisine experiences from scratch.
